ROMANS 6:23 ”For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our lord” God talks about disobedience to an infinite eternal God deserve an infinite consequence. God shows us his character and his laws in his creation, and the world around us he has also written his laws around in our hearts and on our consciences .He has given us his word in his bible for us to stay sin free. No good judge will let the guilty go free, and the criminal go unpunish, rather can a holy God allow a sinful man go unpunished. But God loves man whom he has made in his own image and he has provided a way for man to escape sin by sending his only son to die for our sin. So we need to repent from our sin for our own personal salvation.
ROMANS 10:9 “If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved”. The lord our God is telling us with special love here that who so ever believes in him “Jesus” and confess with thy mouth, that God shall raised that person from any power of death for the salvation of their soul. Here the lord is giving us the chance to believe and turn to Christ for us to be saved from any power of death.
1 Peter 1:3-6. “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials”.
1. Explain the Scripture
The scripture explains that the Lord has given us a new life and has given us hope through the resurrection of His son Jesus Christ whom he send to die for us and give us new hope and life in abundance He also explains that in the Lord we have inheritance and we ought to be rejoice and give praise to the Lord..
2. Explain how you would use the Scripture to lead someone to salvation
God has given hope and inheritance to His children through the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The inheritance is in heaven and awaiting the children of the Lord to come and inherit it. If you want the inheritance in heaven you should come to Christ, the only way to partake in the inheritance in heaven is through salvation. Coming to Jesus and accepting Him a your personal savior guarantees you the inheritance set of God’s children in heaven
The book of Deuteronomy is so relevant to Christians today because it paints a picture on what God was going to do with the children of Israel under new leadership and was also reminding them on what they were supposed to do or not do for them to continue in His favour. So, there are principles contained in this book that definitely help the Church today. It was almost time for the people of Israel to cross the Jordan River and conquer Canaan, But God refused to let Moses lead them into the land. Instead, Moses had been told that he was going to die on the eastern side of the Jordan. So, Moses gave several farewell speeches to the people of Israel in which he repeated many of God's laws. Because Moses was giving these laws to Israel for the second time, the book is now called "Deuteronomy," which comes from a Greek phrase meaning "second law." Moses also reminded the Israelites of the past forty years. God had rescued them from Egypt and taken care of them in the desert, but they had not always been faithful or obedient to him. Moses told the Israelites that if they kept their agreement to worship and obey the Lord, they would be a successful and powerful nation. But if they broke their agreement and worshiped idols, the Lord promised to put terrible curses on the people. They would be defeated by their enemies and lose their land and their lives. I see this book applying to the situation in the Mountain Moving Faith Ministries (MMFM) and below are some of the useful pointers derived from it. They also apply in general in the life of any Christian.
